Night before
your surgery
Proper preparation ensures a smooth procedure and recovery. Follow your surgeon’s instructions, including fasting guidelines—typically no food or drink after midnight. Avoid alcohol and tobacco, and get a good night’s rest. If prescribed, take medications with a small sip of water. Have a trusted adult ready to assist you post-surgery.
